The Checkline TI-007DLX is a precisison instrument designed for high-resolution measurements on thin-wall metal and plastics. It is packaged in a sturdy extruded aluminum housing which is sealed for excellent environmental protection assuring trouble-free use even in the toughest field and production environments. The built-in datalogger has a capacity of 10,000 data values stored in up to 40 batches with 250 values/batch which is transferred via the USB port using the supplied cable. The TI-007DLX does not require any software, it will be shown as a drive when connected to a PC allowing convenient drag-n-drop into your program of choice. Data is saved in a comma deliminated file format (.csv) which makes it compatible with all programs and software. The Checkline TI-007DLX has measuring range in steel from 0.0060 to 1.0000 inch, (0.15 to 25.40 mm). Using a single element delay tip transducer, the gauges will measure thin materials and automatically remove any coatings in Echo-Echo Mode (E-E) as well as automatically switch to Interface Echo Mode (I-E)when measuring thicker materials, For measurement of plastics, the user would select Plastic Mode (PLAS) and use the option Graphite Delay Line Tip (p/n X-633-0000).

The TI-25DLX permits the operator to select from 8 preset materials as well as program 2 custom material velocities, plus allows free adjustment of the velocity as desired and allows the end-user to calibrate to a sample of known thickness where the velocity is automatically calculated. The Dakota Ultrasonics R9 (PR-9) Sonic Tester Thickness Gauge Z-309-0001 / Z-309-0002 is commonly used to measure the thickness of cylinder walls, head ports, decks, chassis tubing, body panels, and windshields. An additional benefit is the dual element style of probe with the ability to locate blind surface corrosion or deterioration on the blind surface in the water jacket area prior to boring a cylinder or port. The high speed scan feature takes 100 measurements per second to save time when scanning a complete cylinder. Simply drag the probe from the bottom of the cylinder, at a given clock position in the cylinder, up to the deck area to locate the minimum thickness found. Scan can then be switched off and the user can find the exact location of the minimum thickness.

The Dakota Ultrasonics RX8-DL (PR-8V) Z-158-0003 / Z-158-0004 Sonic Tester - Audio Gauge is designed specifically for the needs of engine builders and race shops. The time-based B-Scan feature of the PR-8V displays a cross section of the opposite surface, allowing engine builders the ability to see the contour of the back surface in cylinders while scanning. Use the Multi-Mode (Echo-Echo mode) feature to measure chassis tubing with or without paint and coatings. Built-in automatic gain control. Selectable low, medium, and high gain settings offer the inspector the additional punch power for materials that are hard to penetrate. The variety of calibration options is just one more example of the PR-8V's versatility. Store up to 64 custom setups. Factory setups available for common applications. The internal Data Logger of the PR-8V has been customized for both the engine builder and the chassis inspector. Selectable cylinder mapping or general alpha numeric file storage will satisfy your reporting needs. Built-in transducer types offer increased linearity between transducers. The Fast Scan feature provides a better representation during the scanning process, by making 32 measurements per second. Remove the transducer from the test material to display the thinnest measurement found. Use the visual and audible alarm to set Hi and Lo limits to signal the inspector when the measurements are out of tolerance. The PR-8V also comes complete with our Windows PC software for transferring data to and from a PC, and viewing B-Scans, Cylinder Maps, and general measurements.

The Dakota Ultrasonic ZX-3 Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Gauge combines the best features of the ZX-2 allowing the operator to select from 8 preset materials as well as program 2 custom material velocities, plus allows free adjustment of the velocity as desired and allows the end-user to calibrate to a sample of known thickness where the velocity is automatically calculated. Additionally, to optimize linearity over a wide range, the user can perform a 2 point calibration to two samples of known thickness. The optimal velocity is automatically calculated to provide the highest accuracy and linearity between the low and high calibration points. The ZX-3 can be used in a Single Thickness Reading mode or in a Scan mode , where the probe is dragged over a large measuring area. The minimum thickness reading recorded during the "scan" will be displayed. The ZX-3 probe is waterproof and can be submerged in water. The ElektroPhysik MiniTest 440 Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Gauge is a sturdy and accurate ultrasonic thickness gauge based on the ultrasonic pulse run-time method. 6 ultrasonic probes with frequencies ranging between 2 and 10 MHz in different designs offer a broad spectrum of applications and thickness measurements ranging from 0.65 mm to 500 mm. A high temperature ultrasonic probe is also available, designed for measurement of hot materials with temperatures of up to 350 C.
