Measure the change in length of a fastener when a load is applied to the fastener
Dakota offer a full range of Bolt Tension Monitor Transducers to ultrasonically measure the actual elongation produced by tightening a threaded fastener.
The Dakota Bolt Tension Monitors measure the change in length of a fastener when a load is applied to the fastener.
Within the elastic limit of the fastener, the change of length is proportional to the load applied, and therefore by measuring the change of length and knowing the physical properties of the fastener, the load on the fastener can be calculated
